PURPOSE:To provide a dielectric porcelain composition which contains no or trace amounts of a Bi compound and has a low baking temperature by adding CuO, MnO and the Bi compound in specific amounts as auxiliary components to specific main components which include Sr, Pb, Ca and Ti. CONSTITUTION:This dielectric porcelain composition contains 0.25 to 0.75 moles of CuO and 0.03 to 0.25 moles of MnO2 as auxiliary components in 100 moles of main components of a composition consisting of Sr by A moles in terms of SrO, Pb by B moles in terms of PbO, Ca by C moles in terms of Cab, and Ti by D moles in terms of TiO2 with 0<A<40, 5< B<40, 0<C<40, and 49.7<D<50.3, and with Bi added by only 0.3 moles or less in terms of Bi2O3. The dielectric porcelain composition allows baking at 1000 deg.C or less and can therefore reduce manufacturing costs. Also, the dielectric porcelain composition is excellent in DC bias characteristic and has a high dielectric constant and a small rate of change of capacity. |
