PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the encoding efficiency when a chain tracing the feature points of an image is encoded, in a method and device for encoding image signal. CONSTITUTION:In this method, is performed in such a way that Bezier curve approximation is applied to a feature point chain C11, and the coordinate C14 of control point of the Bezier curve to approximate the original feature point chain C11 is substituted for the encoding processing to the feature point chain C11. |
