METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SOFTWARE PROTECTION

PURPOSE:To read in only software of genuine parts by reading sort-ware into an apparatus main body only at the time when the radiation dose or radiation or the connection part on the software side of a connector is within a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:A male connector 3 is connected to a female connector 4 of an apparatus main body 1, and the power source of the apparatus main body 1 is turned on, and the range of alpha ray dose of radiation from the male connector 3 is read into a control part 6 by a gate drive circuit in the apparatus main body 1. It is discriminated whether alpha rays can be detected or not by the discriminating means of the control part 6; and if they can be detected, an alpha ray detector 5 is operated to detect the alpha ray dose of radiation from the male connector 3. It is discriminated whether the detected alpha ray dose is within the prescribed range or not; and if it is within the prescribed range, a program is read into the apparatus main body 1 by a read means and is executed.
