DISPLAY DEVICE OF ACTIVE MATRIX SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To make it possible to effectively utilize the final row by connecting the second electrodes of respective auxiliary capacitor elements of which the first electrodes are connected to respective picture element electrodes of the row at one end of a matrix form to any of scanning signal lines exclusive of the scanning signal lines corresponding to the row at one end. CONSTITUTION:The second electrodes ESB of the auxiliary capacitors CS at the respective picture elements of the fourth row of 4 rows X4 columns are connected to the scanning signal line Y1 corresponding to the first row via the final row fly-back line YR. This final row fly-back line YR and the scanning signal line Y1 are disposed in the furthest positions at both ends of the matrix form. Then, both may be connected by wirings on the outside of a liquid crystal panel 1. Laying and connecting of fresh conductive films on the picture element electrode substrate of the liquid crystal panel 1 are possible. The high-quality images are obtd. simply by connecting the final row fly-back line YR and the scanning signal line Y1 in such a manner without masking the picture elements of the fourth row and without disposing a power source circuit to be exclusively used for the final row fly-back line YR.
