PURPOSE:To provide a cordless apparatus which can prevent deterioration of a power accumulating element due to over-charging and quickly drive a load as required. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a cordless apparatus wherein a switch 26 and a load ON/OFF switch 34 select charging to a power accumulating element 27 and driving of a load 35, a voltage setup control circuit 38 ad justs a charging voltage of a capacitor 32 by changing the ON/OFF ratio of the second switching element 30 forming a voltage setup converter circuit 33 and a voltage applied to the load 35 is increased or decreased depending on the charging voltage of the power accumulating element 27.
