The device has at least one covering component (5), which can be opened by rotating the side wall of a railway wagon around a hinge at the centre of the roof, and thereafter sliding it in the longitudinal direction of the wagon. It also has at least one covering component which remains stationary relative to the wagon body, during the sliding motion. A longitudinal rail (13) is fastened beneath the roof of the sliding component. The stationary component has a steering arrangement (15-19) which can move vertically, and which has elements for connecting to the rail and for preventing its lateral movement. |
