<p>PURPOSE:To calculate highly accurately a carbody speed at the time of slippage or locking of four wheels of a four-wheel drive car. CONSTITUTION:At the time of acceleration, the smaller one out of the amount of change of the lowest of wheel speeds of four wheels and the acceleration of an integral value of longitudinal acceleration is selected. At the time of deceleration, the smaller one of the amount of change of the highest wheel speed and the deceleration of the integral value of the longitudinal acceleration is selected and a reference car speed is calculated. In the cases when the amount of change of the lowest wheel speed at the time of acceleration is negative, when the amount of change of the highest wheel speed at the time of deceleration is positive and when a pressure-increasing or pressure-reducing operation of a brake control at the time of acceleration or deceleration is executed, the reference car speed is calculated by using the integral value of the longitudinal acceleration forcibly.</p> |
