CONSTITUTION:Plural cleaning tanks 30 of multistage countercurrent system are used to clean a photosensitive planographic printing plate. A cleaning soln. added with a chelating agent is supplied from the rear cleaning tank among the tanks 30 in the traveling direction of the printing plate, the cleaning soln. in the front cleaning tank in the traveling direction of the printing plate is supplied as dilution water or dissolving water to the developing stage to be replenished with concd. developer prior to the cleaning stage. The printing plate is processed in this way.
