PURPOSE:To obtain an alkali zinc secondary battery which can suppress the mode variation of a negative electrode plate, and can improve the cycle life of the negative electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:The part of a separator 1 to abut to the peripheral edge of a negative electrode plate 3 whose main body is composed of at least either one of zinc and a zinc alloy, is made in a multilayer from the center. As a result, the electric resistance of the peripheral edge of the negative electrode plate 3 is increased by the separator 1 made in the multilayer, the elusion of the zinc in the negative electrode owing to the battery reaction can be suppressed, and the reduction of the service life characteristic by the mode variation can be suppressed. |
