PURPOSE:To ensure that light leakage is prevented by causing light-blocking walls formed at both a control portion and a cover portion to have overlapping portions which overlap each other not only longitudinally but also in the direction of the axis of a rotary control portion. CONSTITUTION:In a switch 101, the light of an electric bulb 156 can surely be prevented from leaking out. That is, light-blocking walls 115a, 167a which are close to each other without making contact and overlap each other in the inward and outward directions are formed between the circumferential wall 115 of a dial knob 112 serving as a rotary control portion where there is the possibility of light leakage and the outer peripheral wall 167 of the projecting edge 166 of a third housing 163. Overlapping portions 115b, 167b which are closed to each other without making contact and overlap each other in the direction of the axis of the dial knob 112 are formed in the respective light- blocking walls 115a, 167a. Therefore, the space between the overlapping portions resembles a maze, and the light of the electric bulb 156 can surely be prevented from passing through the space between the overlapping portions and leaking out.
