PURPOSE:To easily obtain optical parts having desired density gradation patterns without relying on an operator's experience by subjecting a base material to nonuniform heating while controlling the radiation intensity corresponding to a desired density gradient. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus for production has a heating means l for heating the base material surface having a colored surface coated with dyes, a heat shielding member 2 installed between this heating means l and the base material 4 and/or a moving means for relatively moving the base material 4. Radiation heating is adopted for heating by such apparatus and the nonuniform heating is executed by control of the heating quantity. The radiation time or radiation intensity is so changed as to subject the parts of the base material 4 to be made into the optical parts where the coloration density is desired to be made high to heat radiation of a relatively long time or high intensity and to subject the parts where the coloration density is desired to be made low to heat radiation of a relatively short time or low intensity, thereby, the differences in the heating quantity for generating the desired density gradation patterns are easily obtd. |
