PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum bit synchronization system by selecting either of two bit synchronization systems depending on a reception state and using the selected synchronization system. CONSTITUTION:The method is provided with a changeover means 5 selecting a 1st bit synchronization means 3 establishing bit synchronization with respect to an indefinite random bit pattern in received data received by a reception means 2 or a 2nd bit synchronization means 4 establishing bit synchronizing with respect to the specific bit pattern based on a switching control signal, a frame synchronization means 6 trying the frame synchronization after the synchronization by the 1st bit synchronization means 3 is established, a counter means 7 counting the count when the frame synchronization by the frame synchronization means 6 is not established, and a control means 9 selecting the 2nd bit synchronization means 4 when the count reaches a preset value, allowing the time count by a timer 8 to be started and selecting the 1st bit synchronization means 3 when the timer 8 reaches a prescribed time. |
