PURPOSE:To obtain an oriented film material for liquid crystal display capable of rapidly preparing and coating and having high uniformity by adding cellosolve in a material prepared by diluting a polyimide or a precursor polyamic acid solution with a solvent. CONSTITUTION:As the material of the liquid crystal oriented film held between a pair of substrates and for orienting and controlling the liquid crystal, one obtained by adding 4.8-38.4wt.% cellosolve (2-alkoxy ethanol) into the material prepared by diluting the polyimide or the precursor polyamic acid solution with the solvent is used. By adding the cellosolve into the liquid crystal oriented film material in this way, the hygroscopicity of the solvent for diluting the polyimide or the precursor polyamic acid solution is suppressed, the wettability of a printing solution is improved and the surface tension between the oriented film material and ITO is decreased to easily stick. And in the case of printing and forming the oriented film, the surface ruggedness and ununiformity of the oriented film are eliminated. |
