PURPOSE:To erase the black band by the center erasing mode regardless of performing variable power copying in the case of a thick original such as a book original. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device provided with the center erasing means (center erasing key 208, ten key 201, enter key 202 and eraser data output signal 308) for erasing the black band occurring in the vicinity of center of the book original or the like, the RAM 303 for storing the erasing width of the center erasing means, the variable power keys 203, 204 and 205 for setting the variable power, the original size detecting means (original size detecting sensor signal 309), and the displaying part 209 for displaying the set variable power and the erasing width of the black band, is equipped with the CPU 301 for controlling the center erasing means by computing the black band erasing part based on the original size detected by the original size detecting means and the set variable power of the variable power keys 203, 204 and 205. |
