<p>PURPOSE:To easily and speedily select a desired component by emphasizing and displaying the part where a cursor is present or a specific area on the screen of an illustration and character information that are reduced and displayed, and magnifying and displaying it on another screen. CONSTITUTION:A data expanding means 2 expands and displays the image and character information of the screen 71, a display means 4 magnifies and displays part of the image and character information, displayed on the screen 71, where the cursor is present or the character information (including character information of a retrieved character code) of the part on another screen 72, and a character code retrieving means 3 retrieves the character code at the part where the cursor is present and outputs the retrieved character code in response to a selection indication (e.g., clicking of a mouse). At this time, the part displayed on the screen 72 by the display means 4 is emphasized and displayed on the original screen 71. Further, the part of the character code, outputted by the display means 4, on the original screen 71 is emphasized and displayed indicating the completion of the selection.</p> |
