PURPOSE:To provide a copying machine capable of surely preventing toner spillage at the time of removing or retreating a toner bottle unit. CONSTITUTION:A set of engaging members which mutually engage at the time of attaching a unit 8 to a copying machine main body and are unable to disengage at the time of opening the cap 72 of the toner bottle 7 so as to inhibit removing and retreating the toner bottle unit 8 in a state where the cap 72 of the toner bottle 7 is open are provided on the sides of the unit 8 and the copying machine main body. As for an engaging member, the unit 8 is provided with a pin 14 and an engaging hole engaging with the pin 14 is formed at a fixed bracket on the side of the copying machine main body so as to make the unit 8 removable only at an attaching/detaching position where the cap 72 is closed. A cap attaching/detaching means 21 is constituted to inhibit the opening operation of the cap 72 of the toner bottle 7 in the state where the unit 8 is removed or retreated and release the inhibition of the opening operation of the cap 72 in the state where the unit 8 is attached to the copying machine main body. |
