PURPOSE:To improve mounting performance on a vehicle and to execute display without the unevenness of luminance in all the visual field range by miniaturizing the entire device. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device 1 is provided with a bracket 7 for attaching the device to a car body, and is constituted of a liquid crystal display board 8, a lamp 9, a reflector 10, a lens 11 and a heat absorbing filter 12, which are arranged coaxially with the bracket 7. The liquid crystal display board 8 consists of a liquid crystal cell 8a and two polarizing plates 8b and 8c. Diffusion processing for diffusing light is performed with the polarizing plate 8b arranged on the incident light side of the liquid crystal cell 8a. The polarization direction of the polarizing plate 8c arranged on the exiting light side of the liquid crystal cell 8a is specified so that the polarization component of the light made incident on a reflection layer formed on a front glass may be transversal wave. |
