<p>PURPOSE:To designate a correct plotting position for a rotating pattern by displaying a prescribed mark at an origin set based on a deviation between an origin set at the desired position of a graphic pattern and a plotting reference point. CONSTITUTION:When pattern generation information is inputted from a coordinate/graphic input device 5, a graphic plotter 6 plots a graphic and a character, etc., on a display device 4 based on input information. The plotter 6 stores the command information of the graphic in the command part 7-1 of memory 7, and sets a circumscribing rectangle based on the command information virtually, and sets the coordinate at its lower left point as e initial origin coordinate. An origin position change device 8 calculates the deviation between a designated origin from the input device 5 and the lover left terminal coordinate of a rectangular area, and changes the lower left coordinate by the share of deviation, and outputs it to an origin coordinate part 7-2 as a plotting origin coordinate (xm, yn).
