<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an antenna measuring apparatus by which an electric field in a field region near the reactive field region of an antenna to be measured can be measured precisely and which restrains a disturbance with reference to an electric field radiated from the antenna to be measured when an electric-field probe is brought close. CONSTITUTION:An antenna measuring apparatus is provided with a pulsed laser 1, with a polarization beam splitter 3 and with a wave plate 4. An electro-optical crystal 8 is used for an electric-field probe 6 which is brought close to an antenna 10 to be measured. An electric field in a field region near the reactive field region of the antenna 10 to be measured is measured by an electro-optical sampling operation. As the electro-optical crystal 8, a crystal whose size is very small is used in order to reduce an influence on the electric field on the surface of the antenna to be measured, and objects whose material, size and shape do not generate any disturbance to the electric field as far as possible are used as objects other than the probe for the measuring apparatus. In addition, the electric-field probe or the like which is brought close to the antenna to be measured is worked in such a way that its circumference is covered with a microwave absorber 20 so that the electric field radiated from the antenna to be measured is not reflected.</p> |
