PURPOSE:To obtain a high temperature type fuel cell in an outer manifold method with more reliable sealing performance. CONSTITUTION:At the opposing surfaces of a manifold 5 and an insulator 4, slopes to operate the component force of the fastening force of the manifold 5 in the direction to a space surrounded by the manifold 5, the insulator 4, and a seal member, are formed, while the insulator 4 consists of plural insulating members 41. In this outer manifold form high temperature type fuel cell, a ball form ziconia powder 9 is provided together with a porous ceramics sheet 8 for gas sealing, between the manifold 5 and the insulator 4, and as a result, the movement of the insulating members 41 following the expansion of the manifold 5 extending to the outer side can be prevented, so as to improve the gas sealing property between the insulating members 41. And by a ball form zirconia powder 7 provided together with a porous ceramics sheet 6 between the insulator 4 and a cell stack 3, the insulator 4 is made slidable easily to the cell stack 3, and the insulating members 41 can be moved easily by the above component force genearted at the fastening time of the manifold 5. |
