<p>PURPOSE:To provide a thin and light indicated position displaying/inputting device capable of preventing the generation of a deviation between a detected position and a display position and reducing power consumption and having high portability by providing the device with a magnetic field generating means for generating a magnetic field on a liquid crystal display element and a magnetic field detecting means for inducing induced voltage. by a magnetic field from a detection pen and detecting the induced CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with the indicated position displaying/inputting device constituted of a timing driving circuit 106 connected to one terminal of a timing electrode 100 and allowed to drive the electrode 100, a magnetic field generating means 108 connected to the other terminal of the electrode 104, a picture element driving circuit 114 connected to one terminal of a picture element electrode 120 and allowed to drive the electrode 120, a magnetic field detecting means 112 connected to the other terminal of the electrode 120, a liquid crystal display element having a liquid crystal layer 110 injected between mutually opposed 1st and 2nd transparent substrates 104, 124, and a detection pen 102 for detecting a position and the driving method of the device.</p> |
