PURPOSE:To provide the non-volatile memory, which enables non-volatile software write protect, and system technique using the same at the memory card and the information processor using the non-volatile memory provided with no write protect function. CONSTITUTION:This memory card is a flash memory card 1 using the reloadable non-volatile memory provided with no non-volatile software write protect function, and is composed of a Flash memory 2 which enables batch electric erasure and write, reset IC 3 for generating a power on reset signal when turning on a power source, and card controller 4 for performing control among these devices and control with a memory card interface. Concerning the Flash memory 2, a write protect preserving register 5 for writing the address of a desired area to protect write is set in an attribute area, and a protect range is set from a system.
