PURPOSE: To provide a shielding device for shielding a leakage electromagnetic wave emitted from a deflection yoke. CONSTITUTION: This shielding device has predetermined magnetic permeability and is equipped with at least one or more plate-shaped shielding plate members 3 provided on a neck part coaxially with a center axis of a deflection yoke 2. Such a shielding device is simple in assembly process and improves in productivity.
