PURPOSE:To display which side of a recommended route shown in a display falls in the direction to be followed by a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:This route guidance equipment of vehicle has an azimuth sensor 1, a vehicle speed sensor 2, CPU 4 and a display 8. After a route from a point of start to a destination was searched for and a route to be recommended was computed, the current point of the vehicle is detected by using the azimuth sensor 1, the vehicle speed sensor 2, etc., and a road map containing the recommended route in the circumference of the present point is displayed on the display 8. Then, a color representing the recommended route on the display 8 is varied along the direction of advance of the vehicle. Thereby, the recommended route on the display 8 is so displayed as to run along the direction of advance of the vehicle and thus the decision as to the direction to be taken for the advance is made easy. |
