PURPOSE:To provide a surface mount connector with which the terminal soldering part of each contact is certainly contacted with the solder layer of the wiring pattern part. CONSTITUTION:A connector 30 for surface mounting has a housing 32 near the place where the terminal soldering part of each contact 34 is protruding, and a dispersion preventing groove 41 is formed in a contact insert groove 47 provided in the housing 32, and a dispersion preventive piece 51 furnished near the terminal soldering part 56 is detained with the dispersion preventing groove 41. This eliminates the risk of dimensional dispersion in assembling such that the terminal soldering part i6 is positioned up or down or is warped at the time it is mounted on tone surface of a circuit board, and the part 56 is put in tight attachment to the oversurface of the solder layer, and by means of heating and melting the solder layer, the part 56 and a retaining piece can be connected certainly by a solder fillet 28. |
