PURPOSE:To obtain an IC memory card unit constructed to have a door for a front panel, capable of closing a card insertion port when an IC memory card is not used and acting also as a card insertion guide when the card is inserted into the port. CONSTITUTION:An IC memory card unit 10 includes an IC memory card reader- writer 12 having an open slot 12a formed in its front face, and also a front panel 13 arranged on the front side of the reader writer 12 and provided with a card insertion port 13a corresponding to the slot 12a, and it is constructed in such a manner that the front panel 13 can be opened and closed by a door 16 supported for rotational movements around a horizontal rotation axis 15 in the inner lower part of the insertion port 13a and the door 16 can accordingly act as a card insertion guide for an IC memory card in its open position approximately horizontal to the card. |
