PURPOSE:To miniaturize the circuit by using a serial memory small in capacity and small in the number of pins, by selecting outputs of respective registers performing serial conversions by a selector, outputting them via the serial memory and outputting them via a shift register for a parallel conversion. CONSTITUTION:Serial data outputted by shift registers 1 to 3 for data, addresses, and commands performing respectively serial conversions by being controlled by a controller 5 into which a signal for a read RD-N, a signal for a write WR-N and a signal for a chip selection SC-N are inputted are selected by a selector 8 and written in a serial memory 6. Written data are read out from the serial memory 6 and outputted via a shift register 7 for a parallel conversion and a data buffer 4. The parallel/serial converting circuit for an IC card small in size and excellent in economicity is obtained with the constitution using the serial memory small in capacity and small in number of pins without using E<2>PROMs. |
