PURPOSE:To provide a vertical orientation type TN liquid crystal display panel excellent in contrast and the characteristic of a visual angle as a liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION:Liquid crystal is held between a pair of base plates and vertically oriented films 22 and 26 are respectively provided on the base plates. Rubbing is executed to the oriented films of a pair of base plates so that the liquid crystal is twisted by 90 deg., and the oriented film is constituted of many minute areas divided to domains whose characteristic of the visual angle is different by 180 deg.. Furthermore, a polarizer 16 and an analyzer 18 are arranged on the outside of a pair of base plates and they are arranged so that a transmission axis many form the angle of about 45 deg. to the rubbing direction of the oriented film. |
