PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of light quantity and to make the luminance of an image high by oppositely disposing a light reflection panel freely separably from the back surface of a liquid crystal display panel and reflecting external light entering from the periphery of a light reflecting surface toward the back surface of the liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION:By pivotally attaching a connecting arm 2a between the light reflection panel 3 and the liquid crystal display panel 2 and turning the panel 3 centering around a hinge 1a, the panel 3 is inclined and faced to the back surface of the panel 2. When the device is used, the panel 3 is turned centering around the hinge 1a so that the external light 10 entering from the periphery of the light reflecting surface of the panel 3 may be reflected to the panel 2 and transmitted, and its opening degree is adjusted, then the connecting arm 2a is locked to the panel 2 by a thumb nut 2a-1. By such constitution, the external light 10 made incident from the periphery of the light reflecting surface of the panel 3 advances in a direction shown by an arrow and passes through a liquid crystal layer only once, whereby the loss of the light quantity is reduced. |
