PURPOSE:To improve the receiving sensitivity of a stereophonic reception device without imparing the stereophonic feeling even though a sound field control function is operated in a stereophonic broadcast mode by outputting the monoaural signals through a reception part and also outputting one or right and left output signals after delaying it while a sound field control part is performing the sound field control. CONSTITUTION:An FM broadcsast is received via an antenna 11, and a signal of the desired frequency is received by a tuning circuit 12. Then the signal received by the circuit 12 is demodulated by a detector 13 and inputted to an MPX circuit 14. When the sound field control is carried out by the selection of an operator, a microcomputer 24 instructs a DSP 22 to perform the sound field control and also outputs the data (delay degree data, etc.) necessary for the sound field control. At the same time, the microcomputer 24 outputs an instruction signal to the circuit 14 not to perform the separation between the L and R signals. Thus the same (L+R) monaural signals are outputted from true circuit 14 in both left and right channels. The (L+R) signals are converted into the digital signals by the A/D converters 21a and 21b, and the DSP 22 applies the delay and sound field control processings, etc., to the (L+R) signals. Then these processed signals are outputted from the left and right speakers 32a and 32b via the D/A converters 23a and 23b and the output amplifiers 31a and 31b respectively. |
