PURPOSE:To keep a controller from being dropped during use and to keep the relative positions of each switch and fingers from moving as a holding position moves by allowing the controller to be held by the player holding grips. CONSTITUTION:This controller 10 includes a housing 11. The housing comprises right and left gripping portions 12R, 12L and a connecting portion 13 connecting the gripping portions together. The gripping portions have respective grips 14R, 14L and respective direction indicating switches 15R, 15L installed in the portions of the grips where the thumb of the player locates to indicate the directions of movement of characters. Stepped levels (d) are formed between a control area where the direction indicating switches are formed and the grips, and the thumb of the player describes natural arcs along the stepped levels. |
