<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a resin for a toner excellent in blocking resistance and having a wide fixing temp. range by graft-copolymerizing a polar vinyl monomer to the surfaces of polyolefin resin particles. CONSTITUTION:A polar vinyl monomer is graft-copolymerized to the surfaces of polyolefin resin particles and the grafting rate is preferably regulated to 5-100wt.%. A water-insoluble photosensitizer is previously stuck to the polyolefin resin particles and graft copolymn. is carried out in a water system. Since active sites generated by light are always limited to the surfaces of the polyolefin resin particles, high grafting efficiency is attained, the grafting rate is regulated in a wide range and a product after the reaction can be used as the objective resin for a toner as it is.</p> |
