摘要 PURPOSE:To distinguish a prescribed speed from a stop of a vehicle on the basis of outputs of a noncontact acceleration sensor, to eliminate false determina tion on that, to improve the accuracy in correction of offset of detection outputs of acceleration, speed and angular velocity, to facilitate work for fitting the acceleration sensor and also to dispense with its adjustment and the like. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle's own position and direction of advance are calculated by a position detector 25 from information on an absolute position and azimuth detected by a GPS receiver 11, relative azimuth obtained through an angular velocity sensor 12, an angular velocity offset correction processing part 13 and an angular velocity integrator 14 and a traveling distance obtained from an acceleration sensor 15 through a speed integrator 20. An amplitude value is detected from an acceleration sensor 21 by an amplitude detecting part 22, and when it is a prescribed value or below, the vehicle is determined as being in a state of standstill. In the meantime, an acceleration offset correction processing part 17 corrects acceleration offset. At the same time, the offset of the angular velocity is corrected by the angular velocity offset correction processing part 13.
