PURPOSE:To easily prepare embroidery data from an original drawing so as to beautifully sew plural embroidery patterns of mutually different width. CONSTITUTION:An original drawing is read by an image scanner (S1) and a contour to specify that original drawing is extracted (S2). Then, thinning processing is performed for a closed area surrounded by a contour line (S3) and when thinning is completed within a prescribed number of times (S4;Y), shape specify line data are prepared for the closed area (S6). Further, the embroidery data for sewing out the closed area with zigzag sewing are prepared (S7). Also, when thinning is not completed within the prescribed number of times (S4;N), contour line data are prepared for the closed area (S5) and further, the data for sewing out the closed area with satin sewing are automatically prepared (S7). |
