The classification file stacks the documents on a planar surface and allows viewing of a part of each document which carries a reference. The file has a folder or open pouch with two sides on the surface of which is s stop (2) formed as an excrescence on which the adjacent file can rest. The stop can be formed as an abutment simply folded from the file.
