Inlet pressure monitoring e.g. for expansion vessels in heating-, drinking-, hot-water-, and central heating systems

The method involves determining the gas pressure on the gas side of the expansion vessel (5), the fill wt. of the water in the vessel, the corresp. desired gas pressure for the determined fill wt., forming the difference between the desired and actual pressures and indicating or evaluating it. The gas pressure can be determined by measuring the gas pressure on the gas side of the vessel or by measuring the water pressure on the system side. The fill wt. can be determined by measuring (7) the force or wt. of the vessel whilst neutralising its own wt.
