The timepiece mechanism (8) has a disc positioned beneath the transparent dial face (5) so that at least part of the disc (6) is visible through the dial face. The latter is provided with a design over part of its surface area, cooperating with a further design carried by the underlying disc. Pref. the disc is attached to the hours wheel of the watch mechanism and is made of glass, plastics, or metal. Pref. the transparent dial face is printed with a scene, the underlying disc printed with a sun and moon, which appears in the sky in dependency on the time of day. |
