The brake is connected via a brake pipe (1) for actuation to a brake lever at the vehicle end. The brake pipe (1) comprises a vehicle brake pipe (1a) and a trailer brake pipe (1b) which are detachably interconnected by a brake pipe coupling (2). The brake pipe coupling comprises a coupling connector (2B) at the trailer end and a coupling connector (2A) at the vehicle end. The brake, which is disposed on the trailer and which, for example, can be a drum, disc or rim brake, is actuated by a brake lever which is disposed at the vehicle end and can take the form of a hand or foot brake lever. This actuation of the brake, which is controlled by the vehicle driver, ensures that the trailer is braked reliably. |
