A support for the intermediate shelves 4 inside a domestic refrigerator comprises a plate 10 upon which the shelf rests with a spring leg 14 projecting upwards, ending with a sloping surface 18. The lower edge of this forms a hook 16 which presses on the top of the shelf. There is a ridge 26 below the shelf to prevent it from sliding out. The shelves have plastic spring tongues 30 at opposite sides, made one-piece with the shelves. The corners of the shelves fit into slots formed in the refrigerator wall. The supports have pegs 12 that plug into the rear of the refrigerator wall.
