MEASUREMENT SYSTEM USING WHOLE BLOOD

An adequate amount of whole blood sample is kept in contact with an insoluble carrier covered with a first partner specifically bindable to a measurement object for short period of time. After the combination of the object with the first partner on the insoluble carrier is brought into contact with a second partner by specific binding to the object, the resulting complex comprising the insoluble carrier, the first partner, the measurement object and the labeled second partner is separated from a portion not containing the complex. Then, signals originating from the labeled substance contained in either of the separated parts are detected. According to this method, the whole blood can be used as such without pre-treatment as the specimen, and the measurement object in the whole blood specimen can be measured quickly.
