The joint parts (1,2,4), consisting of a ball (1) and socket, are spherical and/or toroidal and/or rotationally symmetrical. When inserted into place the joint parts enable the body fluid to reach the centre of the joint. The joint socket (2) has a hole (3), the centre of which is situated on the main force application line of the artificial joint in the base position. The hole is closed by a helical closure piece (12). A pressure-distribution body (4) is positioned so as to slide between the ball and socket. |
