<p>An apparatus (1) for imaging the interior of an object (31) illuminates the object (31) with a source (17, 19) of picosecond collimated x-ray pulses. An array of x-ray detectors (23) senses pulses of compton scattered x-rays from the object (31) and a processor (29) accumulates the data to construct an image of the object by accumulating data from ellipsoidal sections of the object.</p> |
