Freight container loading mechanism with load retainer

The loading mechanism comprises a load retainer (16), insertable into the container (1), coupled to the main vehicle (14) by a coupling (13) and movable vertically at least. The mechanism has wheels (8,9) for supporting a torque generated by the load retainer. The wheels are fitted on two wheel arms (6,7) on either container side, which are movable on the outside of the container long walls (3,4). Their ends, away from the wheels are coupled to the main vehicle. The load retainer is linked to the coupling by a jib (15) movable at least in the vertical direction.
