The valve housing (2) has a large end (3) of suitable dia. for insertion and welding into a T-junction (22) of the plastic pipe, a hollow cylindrical middle section (4) of smaller internal dia. having the drainage port (5) in its centre, and a small end (6) through which the valve spindle (11) is guided with an external thread (10) through a fixed nut (7). The spindle is coaxial with the longitudinal axis (9) of the valve and carries a piston like body (11a) whose rearward face (12) is brought into contact with a seating (21) between the large end and middle section.
