Method for the manufacture of a natural or synthetic wood floor covering characterized by assembling, in a single stage, a back face forming the counter veneer, a middle layer composed of a mixture of fine organic particles and a substantially non-crosslinked powder adhesive forming the core of the floor covering, a decorative face and optionally a sheet forming the wear surface. The assembly is compressed at a high temperature and under high pressure, causing the adhesive to crosslink.
