Vacuum drier for cut wood

The vacuum drier comprises a ventilator (4) which is mounted on an end side (6) of the stack (3) so that a gas flow can be produced through the stack parallel to the end side and then deflected towards the long sides (8) of the stack. An adjustable damming flap (9) is mounted along the longitudinal sides (8) of the stack in the evacuated cell (2) used for introducing the dry material. The flaps (9) can be displaceable along the longitudinal sides of the stack. Damp sensors mounted in the stack detect moisture in the wood. The entire drier can be designed as scales for indirectly detecting the moisture content through the weight of the wood.
