Procedure for setting up IC engines from high volume line
摘要
A procedure for the initial setting-up of an IC engine (3), particularly diesel engines manufactured on a high-output production line eliminates the need for a conventional sequence of testbed runs. The electronic engine controller (5) has a memory unit (21) and a regulator module (22) having suitable input/output and computational facilities receives the essential sensor signals (6) which register the engine performance and environmental variables. A computer (20) contains previously obtained stored data (9) specific to the type of engine which is transferred to the controller (5) via the databus (8) and optimal operating parameters e.g. fuel injection metering/timing (7) are thereby programmed.
