Switching centre for digital mobile communications system

The switching centre (MSC), used in a cellular communications network for switching through calls to and from the mobile subscribers (MSA), has at least one processor (CP,GP1,..) handling the call connections between the mobile subscribers and subscribers connected to the public telephone network. An additional processor (MSA) provides the mobile subscriber service control functions, e.g. call holding, call transfer, or call forwarding. Preferably, the additional processor incorporates a coupling field (GS) for the call transfer or multi-party call switching requirements.
