<p>A remedy for corneal diseases containing at least one member selected from among hexapeptides represented by the following general formula (I): A-B-Pro-C-D-E and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In said formula (I) A represents arginine or lysine with the terminal amino group thereof removed, alkylated or acylated; B represents arginine, lysine or histidine; Pro represents proline; C represents tyrosine, tryptophan or phenylalanine; D represents valine, isoleucine or leucine; and E represents valine, isoleucine or leucine with the terminal carboxyl group thereof substituted by -COOR, -CH2OR or CONHR, wherein R represents hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl.</p> |
