The lower longitudinal swinging arms of the suspension are formed by laminated spring links running between brackets and the rigid axle body (4). The upper longitudinal swinging arms (6) are formed by the arms of a stabiliser (12), the forward arms of which are connected by a torsion rod (13) mounted on the frame side. Transverse support members are provided for the axle body and which over the extent of the upper longitudinal swinging arms support the axle body flexibly in the vehicle's transverse direction in relation to the vehicle's chassis.
